My number one biggest tip for feeling comfortable and confident in front of the camera is to book an engagement session prior to your wedding day. This makes for the perfect “practice” session and will also give us the opportunity to get to know each other better - plus, you’ll have even more beautiful photos for your walls! You can also use your engagement photos for your RSVPs, wedding invitations, and holiday greeting cards.

Aside from that, as simple as it may sound, just own it! Believe me, not many people feel comfortable posing or having their photos taken so it’s best when you just go with the flow and ignore what anyone thinks. During your portrait session, it’s just going to be us - no one’s going to be judging! And don’t worry, I will be gently guiding and hyping you throughout your session.

Not the posing type? Perfect, because candid photos are my favourite! I’ll just be giving you some subtle prompts like “walk towards me holding hands”, “practice your first dance”, “hug/ run/ jump/ look at each other”…that sort of thing. I won’t leave you standing there in silence not knowing what to do. I have plenty of tricks up my sleeve to ensure you feel comfy and at ease in front of the camera.
